The Tow Endorsement Clinic

The Clinic will be held in August.
 The purpose of the tow clinic is to enable pilots to qualify for the HGFA tow endorsement. This involves a minimum of ten tows per pilot, including at least two simulated weak link breaks. The clinic provides a hydraulic pay in winch, driver, tow releases and radios.

South of the Border ( Road Trip to Mexico )
5th - 12th Febuary 2011(Limited places available)

This is an absolute classic of a trip: A week of flying in Bright, NE Victoria, on the base of the Snowy Mountains. I have done this trip many times before, and heaps of pilots from Melbourne fly there - just because it is really fun! Bright is an absolutely delightful alpine town which offers great flying for both newish as well as very experienced pilots.
In case you are bringing a friend along with you who does not fly, don't worry, there are plenty of activities to enjoy including, nice restaurants, vine yards nearby, great mountain biking and refreshing swimming holes.This is a great opportunity for low airtime pilots to expand their skill and experience and to get into XC flying.
More experienced pilots can set tasks and fly with a group of pilots - and have a fabulous week away. Flying at Bright you will learn micro meteorology as it relates to local weather conditions. You will also learn how to fully control your glider and handle any situations that may occur while you are in the air.
You will become proficient with safety manoeuvres such as big ears, wingovers, surge control, speeds to fly and reverse inflations. To determine who is coming on the trip etc, I will set a deadline to confirm and pay by. I need 8 pilots to make the trip happen, 10p maximum.
